Sculpture, steel, copper and brass
540 mm x 280 mm x 100 mm
Nature got there first; a multi layered message expressed in an environmentally responsible sculpture that is worked in the medium of recycled and found materials. Life experiences are deconstructed and recreated in a spatial interpretation, coupled with a philosophy of creating works relating to everyday life. This work explores the similarities and differences between man-made and natural. At first sight, the golden outer shell moving through the landscape appears to have strikingly similar attributes but humankind’s creation pollutes and the other cleans the environment. Motivation and energy flows from my acute aspiration to stimulate contemplation of the concept and issues.
