We'll always have Paris

Unglazed porcelain, masonry pigment

2000 mm x 820 mm x 800 mm

The 200 hand-formed porcelain bones displayed in forensic anthropological layout symbolise the United Nations’ representatives who worked together to forge a historic agreement at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris late last year. L’accord de Paris has been heralded as a historic meeting of minds between members with vastly disparate agendas and parochial political will in the face of the threat of irreversible global warming. The 24 April 2017 signing deadline will reveal whether the Paris agreement represents true, world-wide commitment to take action or just a beautiful memory of declarations made in the heat of the moment.
