Paper, glitter, glue
Fool’s gold explores elements of our current environment that are in danger of becoming extinct because of climate change, and considers what will remain for generations to come.
The rapid decline of bees will jeopardise the pollination of a large proportion of the world’s crops and plants. This series of hand-made paper structures represents hollowed out, empty shells of honeycomb that draw attention to the fragility of this ecosystem. Casting ominous shadows in the gallery space, it imagines a world where the remnants of our current food sources are perceived as relics from the past.
