This painting reflects the beauty and relevance of spinifex grass to our culture. The grasses change with the light and the season and are revered for their usefulness as a plant. We can make useful things from their strong leaves including woven receptacles. Here I have painted the grasses blowing in the wind in the afternoon sunlight.
