The 200 or so dingoes that inhabit Fraser Island are the purest strain on the east coast of Australia and originally considered camp dogs by the Butchulla people. Their interactions with humans have always carried controversy and there is divided opinion on how these remarkable wild dogs should be managed on this World Heritage listed-Island.
