These magnificent native birds are found in the northern and eastern parts of Australia. They pair for life. It is suggested the dance may be a courtship display, or bond strengthening ritual, but Brolgas have been seen to dance for any reason, at any time. These woven images attempt to capture the grace and movement of the dance.
